Project Background:
The Port Hacking subtransmission substation, is a major electricity supply point for the Sutherland Shire in Sydney’s south east. The substation, which is located in Kirrawee, was built in 1960 and some of the equipment is due to be replaced to enable the maintenance of a safe and reliable power supply for the area.
Our Involvement:
The client, a large utility, approached Amplex at the beginning of the project because their existing supplier was taking too long to deliver. Amplex reviewed the project and offered a solution to their cable supply requirement that prevented lost time and money. This included custom production, staggered delivery to prevent excess storage on site and carefully planned materials handling on site due to site safety requirements
Scope of Supply:
Low voltage cables including copper tape screened control cables.
