White Rock Solar Farm

White Rock Solar Farm is a 20 MW solar PV development located adjacent to the northern end of White Rock Wind Farm, 20 km west of Glen Innes. The project received Development Consent from the NSW Department of Planning and Environment on 14 June 2016. Construction of the project was completed in the second half of 2018, and it began production in October 2018.

Amplex was approached by a large engineering client to supply DC PV cable and harnesses. Amplex drew on extensive knowledge of Australian and international standards to offer a solution that was both fully compliant, cost effective and delivered well within the contract timelines. Further in the late stages of the project we were able to assist the client with cable accessories such as tined aluminium lugs, cable glands, conduits and heat shrinks that were rated to extended design life required for solar farm installations.
