The Cabramatta Loop Project aims to boost rail freight capacity on the Southern Sydney Freight Line by enabling smooth passage for freight trains in both directions. It involves 1.65 kilometres of new rail track and 550 metres of track realignment. Combined with the Botany Rail Duplication, it will significantly enhance the capability of container freight handled by Port Botany, predicted to increase by 77%, from 14.4 million tonnes in 2016 to 25.5 million tonnes in 2036.
Working closely with site contacts to ensure critical timeframes were met, Amplex dispatched stocked cables same day from the NSW warehouse for the Cabramatta Loop project. We supported UGL Limited, supplying the main contract of cable whilst promptly providing rail signaling cables to ARTC.
